Conferences at Dhruva
Dhruva College of Management organized a National Seminar on “Emerging Paradigms in Marketing” on July 25 and 26 in 2008. The seminar was planned keeping in view the rapid changes taking place in the marketing domain and to provide a forum for academicians to share their views on such changes.
The conference was divided into three technical sessions (Customer Relationship Management, Rural Marketing and Segmentation) and was witness to some enriching and thought provoking presentations from over fifty faculty members from across the country.
The conference was inaugurated by Sri BVR Mohan Reddy, CMD, Infotech Enterprises in the August presence of Gandhian Prof. Krishna Mohan, Ms. Lekha Sishta (Head, Talent Management, SumTotal Systems) and Dr. S. Pratap Reddy (Chairman of Dhruva). In his inaugural address Sri BVR Mohan Reddy gave a detailed presentation about how technology is changing business and how marketers will have to adapt to such changes quickly.
The plenary sessions that preceded the technical sessions were highly enriching and thought-provoking with eminent speakers from industry and academia sharing their thoughts on the themes.
The conference ended on a high note with Sri Sudheer Mareddi CEO- Maytas addressing the august gathering on what it takes to succeed in the marketplace. The valedictory ended with the distribution of certificates to all participants. Cash prizes were awarded for best technical paper and presentations.

A National Conference in collaboration with Institute of Asian Studies, Hyderabad on the theme “Amazing China” was held at Dhruva’s new premises in Medchal. Located amidst lush greenery in HUDA Oxygen Park, the campus boasts of state -of-the-art facilities, a hi-tech work environment, full fledged library and hostels for the students.
The Conference had senior IAS officers and industry heads speaking on their experiences in China and how India can emulate the example of this nation and take the growth path.
Extra Curricular Activities at DHRUVA
Laughter Club at Dhruva Dhruva invited the ABC Club to its new campus. It has been scientifically proven that laughter cures many problems. It was a wonderful sight with nearly 200 members of Dhruva learning to laugh their way to health.
Blood Donation Camp at Dhruva Dhruvans are at the forefront of social service. They do not miss opportunities to serve the needy. Every year students have been organizing for blood donation camps in the college. This year too they organized one such camp by inviting Lions Club members, and nearly fifty students donated blood voluntarily.

Distinguished speakers at Dhruva (October / November) Dhruva continues to invite great speakers and luminaries and exposes its students to the challenges facing industry. By this interaction students are able to understand how the environment would change when they join industry as managers.
